With properties located throughout the Eungella and Crediton Hinterland, Wild Platypus stays offers exclusive private locations to immerse yourself in the beauty and serenity of nature. With plenty of private spots to view platypus in the wild.
With limited phone reception in most places you will be able to fully immerse yourself in nature and enjoy all the beauty our area has to offer. Whilst our exclusive Starlink network available at each location still allows you to stay connected.

Campsites
The property offers large grassy camping areas and as we are over 800 metres above sea level you can enjoy a lovely cool mountainous climate. There is also a flush toilet and gas hot shower available.
It is the perfect place to relax and switch off from the world. There is plenty of star gazing and bird watching opportunities or you may just enjoy watching the horses and cattle grazing. If you’re lucky you may even spot a Platypus swimming!
You are also welcome to enjoy walking around the property but please speak to your host before approaching any of the animals on the property. You can enjoy all your favourite water sports only 20 minutes away at Eungella Dam.
Starlink is available on the property. Campfires are permitted pending there are no restrictions in place and we can supply firewood for you.
Pets are welcome on leash and please advise the host in advance if your pet will be coming with you.
Bunya Cottage
Bunya Cottage is located in the township of Eungella. Situated on the hill behind the Chalet Bar and Restaurant you’ll be central to everything in the area. Eungella is 600 meters above sea level, therefore offering you a spectacular view directly down the Pioneer Valley, and also provides a slightly cooler climate than surrounding areas. On certain days you’ll find yourself actually sitting in the clouds where you can see them rolling by, giving you nothing but rainforest vibes.

Willow Cottage
Willow Cottage is located in the heart of Crediton, 15 Mins out of Eungella. Situated on the vast pastures of Roland Park, you’ll find yourself central to Broken River and Eungella Dam. Willow Cottage Boasts country feel and spacious outdoor living areas.

Clover Lodge
Clover Lodge is located on prime farm land in Crediton, 20 Mins out of Eungella. Situated nearby the Crediton Hall it makes an ideal place to rest and recover from the Great Walk. Nestled beside the creek its only a short walk to spot platypus in a more private area of the creek. Close to Broken River and Eungella Dam. Clover Lodge has that old style country feel with very spacious living areas.

Sacred Springs Farmhouse
Sacred Springs is a 3 bedroom house that also has a lounge sofa bed, effectively sleeping 7.
It boasts a beautiful well equipped kitchen which is open plan with the lounge & dining areas.
Crediton is at reasonably high altitude (690mt or 2,260ft) so can be cool at times in summer and cold in winter especially at night so cuddle up & enjoy the ambiance & warmth of the small lounge fireplace. No need for aircon here, just breathe in, relax & enjoy the pure, fresh plateau air. Two beautiful bathrooms, a small laundry & mud room make this an exceptionally functional house for individuals, couples, families & small groups.
